Student’s death in HEJ Hostel was natural, ICCBS Spokesman claims

The cause of death for Mukhtiar Ali, an MPhil student at the H.E.J. Research Institute of Chemistry, University of Karachi, in the HEJ Boys Hostel, was determined to be natural.The spokesperson for the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi, stated in a communique on Tuesday that on the 23rd of October, Mukhtiar Ali went to the common bathroom located on the first floor of the hostel.

The ICCBSs security personnel discovered the lifeless body of the deceased student with the assistance of some other students.  An ambulance transported the students body to Karachi Universitys Clinic, where doctors confirmed the students passing. The Director of the ICCBS, Prof. Dr. Farzana Shaheen, was present along with other officials.  Upon receiving the news, the family members of the deceased student also arrived at the clinic. Rangers and the police rushed to the clinic, and the local police promptly transferred the deceaseds body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor of the University of Karachi, Prof. Dr. Khalid Mehmood Iraqi, Prof. Atta-ur Rahman, ICCBS Patron-in-chief and former Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, the Coordinator General of COMSTECH and the former Director of ICCBS, and the current Director of the ICCBS, Prof. Dr. Farzana Shaheen, expressed their condolences over the students death.  The administration of the ICCBS also held a Quran recitation in memory of the deceased scholar.
