Six members of a same family including women and children died when a speeding car rammed into a roadside tree in Mohsinwal area of Mian Channo, Khanewal district on Friday.
According to rescue sources, the accident occurred when a speeding car crashed into a tree on Jindiali Road. As result, six members of a same family, traveling in the car, including two women and two minors died on the spot. The rescuers rushed to the site on information and shifted the dead bodies to hospital for legal-formalities.
Meanwhile, two persons including a woman and her teenage son were killed in firing by armed men over enmity here on Friday, police said.
According to details, the incident took place in village Hardaspur of Gujrat where culprits belonging to rival group sprayed bullets on two members of the opponent group.
As a result of firing, two people including 45-year-old Bushra and her son Salar Anwar Raza, 17, were killed on the spot and the attackers fled the scene
The bodies were shifted to hospital where they were handed over to heirs after legal formalities and the police after registering a case against the culprits started raids for their arrest.
