Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Information Secretary Raoof Hasan said that a culture of lying and abuse was rampant, truth and decency become decadent values and reins of the state handed over to ravenous vultures, hence silence became a crime and raising peaceful voice a duty for securing justice and equity.
PTI CIF shed light on the prevailing situation in the country and said: “When a culture of lying and abuse is rampant and truth and decency become decadent values; when deceit and deception take over the corridors of power and righteousness is subjected to scorn.” He said: “When capitulation dominates the citadels of justice and innocence is treated as an alien commodity; when shadows of fear constantly lurk and judges proclaim subservience to the diktat of power and pelf.”
“Then remember that these are signs of the constitution, rule of law and justice being strangulated and reins of the state handed over to ravenous vultures,” he added. “Intoxicated in their power, they are taking decisions beyond the domain of lawful authority, thus pushing the country deeper into the quagmire of irretrievable crises. Such is the time when silence becomes a crime and raising peaceful voice a duty for securing justice & equity,” Raoof Hasan maintained.
