While talking to the monthly ijlas of Shura Hamdard former Chairman Islamic Ideology Council of Pakistan Dr. S. M. Zaman and other scholars of Shura Hamdard said that industrial development is one of major factors increasing pollution in Pakistan and other countries. Cutting trees is also a reason of climate change, developed countries are not agree to stop pollution as it effects their industry but they are forcing developing countries of the world to do so. Pollution is the major risk for human life therefore our government, political parties and NGOs need to work together for reducing and control it. The topic of Ijlas was “MAHOLIYATI TAGHAYURAT AUR HUM”.
President Shura Hamdard Sadia Rashid said that developed countries has almost come over pollution issue but developing countries including Pakistan failed to achieve positive results so for. Trees provide us oxygen but we are cutting them rapidly and it is our major fault. Our cities, streets and communities are not clean and people do not dispose garbage properly. We need to educate our people to reduce problems being faced due to it. Naeem Akram Qureshi delivered keynote address on the topic, Sanaullah Akhtar, Hk. Bashir Bhervi, G. H. Anjum Khokhar, Prof. Dr. Riaz Ahmad, M. Aurangzaib Awan, Prof. Niaz Erfan, Prof. B. A. Shaikh and S. Tanvir Nusrat also express their views on the topic and highlighted the causes of air pollution and its worse effects on atmosphere.
They also added that high usage of Urea Fertilizers and Chemical Spray for killing insects in crops is also causing diesis and polluting atmosphere. It was also suggested that Polythene bags and other pollution generating goods should banned strictly in the country. Continuous reduction of underground water level need our attention and require work on prior basis.
