Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad Allah Ditta Warraich has said that all markets, shops and other business centres will be closed by 9 pm in the district under directions of the Punjab government and direction of the government will be implemented at all cost in the district while strict action would be initiated against those shopkeepers and traders who would find to violate government directions.
He expressed these views while addressing a meeting of Anuman-e-Tajran Hafizabad, on Monday. AC Rab Nawaz, DO Industries Kashif Nisar and other officers also attended the meeting. DC said that restaurants, tandoor, cafe, cinemas and shops of edibles items would remain open till 11 pm while medical stores, hospitals, petrol pumps, CNG stations, tyre shops, motorway and highway services areas and milk shops will be exempted from this ban. DC also directed the AC to check marriage halls and take strict action against violation of one dish.
Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner Hafizabad Rab Nawaz visited different bazaars of the city to check encroachments accompanied by the Chief Officer Municipal Committee, on Monday.
He directed the shopkeepers and representatives of Anjuman-e-Tajran to remove all temporary and concreted encroachments voluntarily immediately because district administration was ready to launch operation against encroachments soon.
