Climate Change Minister Sherry Rehman has strongly condemned PTI chief Imran Khan’s remarks regarding martial law. The previous night, an anchor pointed out while speaking to Imran that there had been “talk about martial law” in recent days.
To that, Imran replied: “Impose martial law. If they want, they may impose martial law. What are they scaring me for?” Berating the PTI chief over these remarks, Rehman said in a series of tweets that Imran’s words were indicative of a “fascist mentality”.
She said while institutions maintained they would not meddle in politics, Imran insisted on their “intervention and bringing him to power. “His objective is that either they offer a deal or impose martial law.”—INP
