ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid Ahmed got himself vaccinated against Covid-19 in the Pakistani capital on Monday.

The 70-year-old received the dose of Chinese made Sinopharm vaccine at the CDA hospital.
The former Railways minister had contracted the virus in June last year. Pakistani president Alvi and Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan have also received the COVID-19 vaccine.

As of March 22, the total number of coronavirus cases in the country spiked up to 630,471 with 3,669 new infections. Twenty people died from the novel disease across Pakistan in the last 24 hours. The national positivity ratio stands at 8.43 percent today.
