LAHORE –  Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the grenade attack near the election office of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in Dera Allah Yar on Thursday.

Taking to X, previously known as Twitter, former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said, “We strongly condemn the grenade attack near the election office of Muslim League (N) in Dera Allah Yar. The caretaker government should ensure peace and order. Terrorists want to prevent people from exercising their right to vote, will not be intimidated by them and will bring peace back to Pakistan, God willing,”.

Shehbaz Sharif also said, “I also salute the spirit and courage of the political workers and pray that Allah grants the injured a speedy and complete recovery. Amen,”.

The condemnation came after at least four people injured in two hand grenade explosions which rocked the cities of Turbat and Dera Allah Yar in Balochistan earlier today.

In Tehsil Kech, Turbat district, the blast occurred on Main Road, injuring one person. Meanwhile, in Dera Allah Yar, Jaffarabad district, the explosion took place near Bhathi Pathak in which three people got injured.

According to the reports, one of the blast took place nearby the PML-N election office.

The rescue workers shifted the injured to a nearby hospital for medical care. However, the perpetrators responsible for hurling the hand grenades at both locations managed to escape the scenes before authorities could apprehend them.
