Challenging the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government, former prime minister and senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Friday said that if it (government) was so sure about its numerical strength in the National Assembly (NA), it better convened the assembly’s session tomorrow (Saturday) so that fate of the no-trust motion could be decided.
He claimed that members of the NA (MNAs), supporting the opposition’s motion, are growing in numbers.
“And that’s why the government is trying to prevent the motion from being tabled so that it does not have to feel embarrassment,” Abbasi said, adding, “However, we will not allow it to escape.
”Former prime minister also urged NA Speaker Asad Qaiser to remain impartial.
