Shaheen Afridi and Ansha likely to welcome their first child soon

KARACHI – Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi and his wife Ansha Afridi, who is the daughter of legendary cricketer Shahid Afridi, are likely to welcome their first child anytime in coming weeks.

Pakistan team Head Coach Jason Gillespie has confirmed the development, stating that the left-arm bowler might miss the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh to spend time with his family.

There is no official statement in this regard from Afridi family. It is recalled that he married Ansha Afridi in a private nikah ceremony in February 2023.

Gillespie further said that the Test team would be led by Shan Masood in the Bangladesh series, which will be played in third week of August in Pakistan.

The Test matches are part of the World Test Championship. the Bangladesh team will play 2 Test matches in the tour, with the first game will be played in Rawalpindi from August 21 to 25, while the second Test will be played in Karachi from August 30 to September 3.
