Lahore: Former federal education minister Shafqat Mehmood has resigned from his position as the President of PTI Punjab. The PTI stalwart recently underwent surgery and has therefore resigned due to health issues.
In a tweet, Shafqat Mehmood thanked PTI Chairman Imran Khan for the opportunity and said it was an “honour and privilege to serve as President of PTI Punjab”. He also expressed his commitment to “serve the party in whatever capacity assigned”.
