SFA, GRASP collaborate for hygiene awareness

Sindh Food Authority (SFA) has partnered with Growth for Rural Advancement and Sustainable Progress (GRASP), a project funded by the European Union and implemented by the International Trade Centre. The decision to launch a mass awareness campaign on hygiene principles was made during a meeting chaired by Director General of Sindh Food Authority, Agha Fakhar Hussain, held at a local hotel.

Key officials from the International Trade Centre, including Saqib Ali Khan, Policy and Governance Advisor, Aliyya Communication Advisor, and Umer Tarar, ITC Consultant, were also present at the meeting. Director General Agha Fakhar Hussain highlighted the objective of the awareness campaign, emphasizing its focus on educating the public about hygiene principles and promoting a balanced diet.

He expressed determination to utilize all available communication channels to ensure the success of the campaign and achieve its objectives. Additionally, he underscored the importance of involving relevant stakeholders in the initiative. The campaign aims to provide comprehensive awareness on food safety not only to individuals involved in the food industry but also to the general public.

Office bearers of ITC (GRASP) expressed their full support for the success of the campaign, assuring the Director General of Sindh Food Authority of their commitment to the initiative. The collaboration between SFA and GRASP reflects a concerted effort to enhance public health and safety by raising awareness about hygiene practices and promoting a culture of cleanliness and food safety in the region.
