Several political leaders from Buner district joined the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Friday. The development comes after a delegation of the political leaders called on Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari.
Yousuf Ali Khan, Sher Zaman Khan, Inam Khan, Haji Sher Zaman Khan, Anwar Jahan Khan, Zahir Shah, Sultan Khan, Ameer Zeb Khan, Fazl Akbar, Mohibullah Khan, Iqbal Khan and Noor Khan are among the leaders who joined the PPP.
The political leaders had invited the foreign minister to Buner district to attend the public gathering. Bhutto-Zardari expressed his resolve to serve the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). He said his party firmly believed in serving the masses.
On Tuesday last, Bhutto-Zardari said the government wanted to have good relations with the world.
Addressing the event organised to honour the ambassadors, Bhutto-Zardari remarked, “I have travelled to many countries as the foreign minister.
We want good relations with all the neighbours of the country.” Bhutto-Zardari said: “During the COP27 climate conference, the friendly countries had promised to extend support to Pakistan. I would like to thank the friendly countries for helping Pakistan in the difficult situation”.
“After the general elections, the country will experience political stability. The political stability will bring economic stability in the country,” Bhutto-Zardari added.
He said: “Pakistan has successfully signed agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). China, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Saudi Arabia had helped Pakistan in this regard”.
It is a matter of honour for me to lead the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Bhutto-Zardari said.
