Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Headquar-ters South Wa-ziristan Nadir Khan Wazir on Thurs-day visited District Headquarters Hos-pital (DHQ) Wana and reviewed secu-rity arrangements for polio teams in the area.

He undertook the visit in line with directives of District Police Offi-cer (DPO) Attiqul-lah Wazir where he issued necessary instructions to the po-lice personnel for ensuring peaceful conduct of the anti-polio drive.

He in-structed the cops to wear helmets and bullet proof jackets during duty and warned that no negli-gence would be tolerated in this regard. Similarly, he directed them to avoid using phones under any circumstances and remain alert during duty. The DSP was of the opinion that strong and effective coor-dination should be ensured among the security personnel by remaining the cops in touch with their respective SHOs.

He said that additional person-nel and special forces should remain ready to effectively respond in case of emergency. He said that solid meas-ures should be taken to implement the security plan in letter and spirit and ensure peaceful conduct of the drive.
