Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad, Rana Saleem Ahmad Khan and DPO Masoom Ahmad visited routs of processions and places of majalis in city in connection with security arrangements.
They reviewed security arrangements of Imambarghah ward No.1, Farpooq Azam Road, Post office road, Fawara Chowk, Imambarghah Hussainpura, Bilal Chowk and Vaneki Tarar.
Talking to median, they said that tight security arraignments were made to protect participants of mourner’s procession and majalis during holy month of Muharram-ul-Haram.
They determined that no one would be allowed to disturb peaceful atmosphere of the district and miscreants would be dealt with iron hand to maintain law and order situation in the district.
They said that organizers and licensees of processions and majalis would bund to start processions and majalis at fixed time and ensure to conclude processions and majalis during time span.
They directed the officers of concerned departments to ensure repair roads, remove all hurdles from the way of processions earliest.
They also appealed the Ulema belongs to different school of thought, members of peace committee and prominent personalities to cooperate with law enforcement agencies for ensuring peace during the holy month.
