The city authorities have planned to renovate the sea View beach along the lines of foreign beaches. The Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC) has begun working on a plan to improve the area according to international standards. According to the plans for this unique project, more than 13 acres of grass is being planted for the first time to ensure there’s greenery on the beach and work in this regard has already commenced. Sources in the CBC saidthat work on the Sea View has been divided into two stages geographically. The first phase will see work carried out from the Nishan-e-Pakistan monument to the Chunky Monkey amusement park, whereas the second phase will consist of work from the fairground to the Salt & Pepper Village hotel. A 1.76-kilometre jogging track would also be constructed for the public. Five watch towers are also planned to be erected to inspect the coastline from a height. They will house lifeguards so that if someone starts drowning, they can be rescued. The CBCsays there would be no fees to visit and everyone would be able to come and enjoy.
