ISLAMABAD – The government in Azad Jammu and Kashmir has extended winter holidays in all private and public schools in light of fresh cold wave.
Schools’ winter vacations have been extended as cold wave gripped parts of Pakistan, with temperatures falling low. The extreme cold weather makes it difficult for school-going children to continue educational activities.
On Thursday, Bhimbhar DC issued a notification about an extension in all government and privately run schools.
As per the official announcement, all educational institutions will remain closed till 15 January 2024.
The notification also mentioned that schools involved in violations will face action and their registration will be cancelled.
The government said the health of students is of paramount importance, and so there will be no negligence related to the closure of schools in winter break.
