LAHORE – All public and private schools are set to reopen in Lahore and other cities of Punjab after winter break as per the schedule as currently there are no reports of extension in the holidays.
As per the notification, the provincial government has announced winter vacation from December 23 to January 10. The educational institutions will reopen on January 13 as there are weekly offs on Jan 11 and 12 (Saturday and Sunday).
Earlier, rumours surfaced claiming that the government would extend the winter break due to ongoing cold wave in the country. But, no official statement was made in this regard, confirming that schools will reopen in Punjab on January 13 (Monday).
Schools Reopening Date in Punjab
As per existing schedule, the public and private schools will reopen on Jan 13 across the province.
Schools Reopen in Sindh after Winter Holidays
Schools and colleges have resumed academic activities from January 1, 2025 after the winter break as no extension was approved in the holidays.
The educational institutions generally observe winter vacations from December 21 to 31 every year.
