LAHORE – After Islamabad and Rawalpindi, public and private sector schools and colleges will remain closed in the Punjab capital on December 16, Monday (tomorrow).
However, public and private sector universities will remain open as per the normal routine.
According to the notifications issued by the deputy commissioners of Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Lahore on Sunday, all public and private sector schools and colleges will remain closed.
Moreover, the examinations scheduled to be held on Monday were also postponed.
The notifications did not specify any reason for the school holiday. However, reportedly the holiday was given in memory of APS martyrs who faced a deadly terrorist attack eight years back.
