The Department of Psychology and Couseling Center University of Sargodha featured a series of lectures on the theme of ‘Mental Health in an Unequal World’ and a ‘Pink Ribbon Youth Awareness Program’ to commemorate Mental Health Day 2021 at Noon Auditorium on Oct 28.

The veteran psychologists and professionals delivered lectures to ensure mental well-beingness.

On the first day of the workshop, the professionals shared their extensive insights about the challenges and solutions of mental health issues and mentioned that various silent pathogens wreak havoc on our psychological health but go unnoticed.

Through stress management strategies and counseling, mental health can be ensured, and by altering some factors and treating them well, we may safeguard our mental health.

Similarly, on the second day, a discussion was held on understanding children with special needs and challenges for their caregivers, and preventive measures of breast cancer & mental health Coping were also thoroughly deliberated during the seminar.

Dr. Khawaja Arshad said that special children must be handled with a delicate human touch.

They need particular consideration and care, as well as moral support from family and community.

While Dr. Rubina Asghar said that Breast cancer is rapidly increasing in our country and females are hesitant to discuss it with family members, and when they do, they suffer on both physical and psychological levels, therefore, they need proper counseling.
