KOLKATA – Imran Mirza, the father of former tennis star Sania Mirza, on Friday rejected the rumors about any connection between his daughter and Indian cricketer Mohammad Shami.
Imran Mirza categorically denied these claims.
In a statement to the media, he labeled the rumors as baseless and stressed that Sania Mirza had never even met Mohammad Shami.
He expressed his disappointment over such unfounded gossip, which unnecessarily stirred public interest.
The rumors, which emerged without substantial evidence, quickly gained traction on social media and various news platforms.
The alleged link between Sania Mirza and Mohammad Shami caused attention due to Sania’s prominent status in sports and her previous marriage to Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik.
