MULTAN – In a remarkable display of skill, national team off-spinner Sajid Khan took seven wickets in the first innings against England during the second Test match at Multan Cricket Stadium and broke a 24-year-old record.

Sajid Khan’s exceptional bowling performance left the English batsmen struggling throughout the innings.

On his home ground, he successfully dismissed 7 players, and in a stunning finish to the day, he claimed 3 wickets in just 10 balls during the final session of play.

This achievement marks Sajid Khan as the first Pakistani off-spinner in 24 years to take 5 or more wickets in a Test match on home soil.

He ended the first innings with impressive figures of 7 wickets for 111 runs in 26.2 overs, a feat that had not been accomplished since Mushtaq Ahmed’s time.

Khan’s outstanding performance has not only elevated his status but has also brought excitement to the series, showcasing the depth of talent in Pakistan’s cricketing landscape.
