Additionally, legal actions were taken against morethan 90,000 vehicles with tinted windows, while police relocated over8,000 beggars and 21,000 unregistered motorcycles to various policestations.
According to details, following the special directives of the IslamabadCapital City Police Officer (ICCPO), Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Safe CityIslamabad Command and Control Center demonstrated optimal performance in2023, a public relations officer said.
He said that, utilizing wireless staff, the Command and Control Centerpromptly provided citizens with police assistance on 35,673 callsrelated to the emergency helpline “Pucar-15”. Safe City surveillancecameras assisted in taking legal action against 9,343 vehicles withtinted glasses.
Moreover, 8,085 beggars were relocated from commercial centers, streets,and other locations to various police stations, while 21,766unregistered motorcycles were also transferred to different stations.
Safe City installed a new system on the TETRA network, enablingautomatic call routing to police stations throughout the district, tofurther enhance the transportation system and ensure safety.
Islamabad Capital Police is actively deploying all technical means tosafeguard citizens’ lives, property, and federal institutions.
