The exchange rate of Pakistan rupee weakened by 75 paisas against the US dollar in interbank trading on Monday and closed at Rs 176.20 as compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 175.45.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of dollars in the open market were recorded at Rs 176.5 and Rs 178 respectively.
Similarly, the price of the euro was appreciated by 71 paisas and closed at Rs 198.56 against the last day’s trading of Rs 197.85, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen gained two paisa to close at Rs 1.55, whereas an increase of Rs 1.36 was witnessed in the exchange rate of the British Pound, which was traded at Rs 234.88 as compared to its last closing of Rs 233.52. —APP
