The exchange rate of the Pakistan rupee strengthened by 07 paisas against the US dollar in the interbank trading on Thursday and closed at Rs 174.97 as compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 175.04.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of dollars in the open market were recorded at Rs 177 and Rs 178.25 respectively.
Similarly, the price of the euro was depreciated by 62 paisas and closed at Rs 196.31 against the last day’s trading of Rs 196.93, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen lost one paisa to close at Rs 1.51, whereas a decrease of 62 paisas was witnessed in the exchange rate of the British Pound.—APP
