The chief of Jamaat e Islami (JI) Senator Siraj ul Haq has said that Allama Iqbal had not only played great role to wake the Muslims of Subcontinent up from deep sleep of ignorance and helped prepare them to fight for freedom.
While addressing to a conference on ‘Iqbal and Maududi’s Pakistan’, at Sialkot Fort, Senator Siraj ul Haq further said that Allama Iqbal had the vision of an independent state for the Muslims of the Subcontinent and Maulana Maududi had worked hard in teaching them the lessons of Holy Quran and ‘Sunnah’.
He termed it quite ironic that teachings and philosophies of Iqbal and Maududi currently were not being fully utilized. He charged that by choosing ‘Iqbal day’ to inaugurate the Kartarpur Corridor, the current rulers of the country had ruined the ‘two-nation theory’. He said that India after decades long cruelties and suppression in Held Kashmir had successfully made it a part of India, but our government was unable to do anything except for staging protest demonstration.
