Says it’s PTI agenda to create more and more jobs at local level

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Friday said that Murree enjoys the position of being the prime tourist spot in the country while Kahuta and Kotli Sattian also attract sightseers because of their serene beauty.
A large number of tourists visit Murree and Kotli Sattian is also being developed as a tourist hub to boost tourism and this will also create more job opportunities for the locals.
While addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony of Kohsar University and other development projects at Murree on Friday, the CM said the PTI government is working to develop the best facilities for the visitors in Murree and adjoining areas.
Rs7.80 billion will be spent on different development schemes to provide better facilities as promotion of tourism is an important agenda of PTI government, he added.
The foundation stone of Kohsar University and attached study centre has been laid where tourism and hotel career development management classes will be started, he announced.
Along with it, the up-gradation of boys and girls colleges of Kahuta, Kotli Sattian and Kalar Syedan has been laid and Municipal Committee Murree has been given the status of a municipal corporation, he added.
The CM affirmed the emergency of THQ hospital Kahuta will be upgraded along with the up-gradation of Samli Sanatorium.
A dialysis unit and trauma centre will also be established, he continued.
A parking plaza is being constructed in Jhika Gali in public-private partnership mode to save visitors from parking difficulties.
Meanwhile, he said projects like tourist highways and provision and drainage of water will also be started to resolve such issues.
The CM added the government is given attention to the provision of facilities in Murree’s peripheral areas to develop them as tourist spots.
Under this policy, a new tourist-spot new Dhar java water supply project will be developed along with a link road from Dhanoi to Narrar (Punj Peer Mountains) to improve the movement of traffic.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar chaired a meeting about the development of the mines and minerals sector at his office.
Provincial secretary mines and minerals department briefed about the departmental performance and future roadmap.
On the other hand, CM Usman Buzdar took notice of the death of a girl child in Multan, due to falling into an uncovered manhole, and sought a report from the Commissioner.
The CM extended sympathies to the bereaved heirs and directed strict action against the responsible officials. He also directed to cover the open manholes without delay.
Meanwhile, Punjab Auqaf Minister Pir Syed Saeedul Hassan Shah called on Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and discussed matters of mutual interest.
Talking on the occasion, the CM said that the solution to national problems lies in unity and the country demands brotherhood, tolerance and inter-provincial harmony from all of us.
Everyone will have to play its role to strengthen the country, he continued. Meanwhile, the CM added that 3rd corona wave is serious and the health system is also burdened.
Meanwhile, CM Usman Buzdar will spend a busy day during his one-day visit to Taunsa and Koh-e-Sulaiman Tahsils on Saturday (today).
The chief minister will meet the notables of the area besides inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of various development projects worth four billion rupees.
