Federal govt wants to ensure basic facilities to the people specially those living in far flung areas. Prime Minister Imran Khan is giving special preference and allocating funds for the uplift of less developed districts and its ample proof is allocation of Rs 4 billions for Attock district for provision of gas facility to different villages.
Special Assistant to Prime Minister of Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam said this while talking to newsmen after holding an open kutchery in Hasanabdal. While giving details of this mega project Malik Amin said that to overcome low gas pressure problem of the areas of NA55 (Attock, Hazro and Hasanabdal) 28 km long pipe line having dia of 24 inches will be laid and workmon this will be started soon which will cost Rs 1.6 billion.
He said, Rs 3 million have been allocated for over coming low gas pressure in Hazro City and work on it will be completed with in next two weeks. Malik Amin said that work order for provision of gas facility to additional abadis of Attock , Hazro and Hasanabdal have been issued which will cost Rs 500 million.
Malik Amin while replying a question said that case for provision of gas facility to 35 villages of Jand, Pindigheb and Fatehjang has been finalised and has been sent to ECC (Econimic Cooperation Council) for release of Rs 1.8 billion to materialise it. He said, the villages of NA 56 which will be provided gas facility include Ziarat, Pariot, Khariot, Bela, Dhok Loharan, Bhandar Tahli, Rangli and Uchhri of tehsil Jand, Surg, Maghian and Saidran of tehsil Pindigheb and Garhi Hasu Khan, Bhal Syedan, Burj, Kharala Khurd, Ajuwala, Charat, Kharala Kalan, Ferozwali, Makial, Gulyal and adjoining areas of tehsil Fatehjang. He said that beside this 45 water filteration plants are being installed in different areas of Attock, Hazro and Hasanabdal to ensure provision of clean drinking water to the residents.
