Cristiano Ronaldo finally scored his first official goal for Al Nassr to rescue a point for his side in their Saudi Pro League draw against Al Fateh at Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Sports City Stadium.
The Portuguese netted a 93rd-minute penalty as his side drew 2-2.
Ronaldo, who had scored twice during a friendly against PSG while representing Riyadh XI, was still searching for his first official goal after failing to find the target against Al Ettifaq and Al Ittihad after making his debut following his record-breaking move.
And it seemed that the trend would continue for the Al Nassr captain as Al Fateh dominated the early stages of the game and took just 12 minutes to take the lead through Cristian Tello.
Talisca, who has shouldered the goal-scoring burden for Al Nassr since Ronaldo’s arrival, drew his side level in the 42nd minute.
The pattern would repeat again in the second period with Sofiane Bendebka putting the home side ahead once again.
Ronaldo then missed a glorious chance to get his name on the scoresheet but failed to find a way past Jacob Rinne in Al Fateh’s goal.
The 37-year-old redeemed himself in the third minute of added time when he beat the Swedish keeper from the penalty spot to rescue a point for his side.
Al Nassr now tops the standings after 15 games, level on 34 points with second-placed Al Shabab but with a match in hand.
They will face Al Wedha in their next game.
