Residents on Wednesday have demanded immediate rehabilitation of Tatoor bride as the concerned department is yet to bother to take any step for the rehabilitation of the bridge collapsed four months back.
Tatoor Bridge was swept away by flash floods some four months ago leaving fourteen villages including Tatoor, Lati Kalay, Abakheil, Kot Gulan, Babakheil, Segar, Bazay Kalay, Shah Zamani, Dabak Kalay, Naway Tatoor, Faqir Abad, Kanazai and Jalandar disconnected to the other parts of the district.
The collapse of the bridge added to the miseries of the residents of remote areas while a number of applications have also been submitted to authorities concerned to rehabilitate the damaged bridge but all this went in vain.
The residents of the area have demanded of the government to take steps for the rehabilitation of bride on priority basis and threatened to stage protest demonstration in front of Deputy Commissioner Compound and C&W office if their genuine demand went unheard.
