ISLAMABAD – As Muslims across the world, including Pakistan, are gearing up to welcome the holy month of Ramadan 2024, astronomy experts have predicted dates for the commencement of the Islamic month.
Experts predicted that the first day of Ramadan 2024 would be observed on March 11 (Monday). However, a final decision about the start of the holy month will be taken by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee after moon sighting.
It is for the first time Ramadan is going to start in winter season in Pakistan and other parts of world after 26 years.
Experts said that the holy month will again be observed in summer season in 2031.
The fasting hours during Ramadan will vary across different countries, with the possibility of the duration exceeding 12 to 17 hours this year.
