PESHAWAR – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rainfall of varying intensities with snowfall over mountains for parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday evening/night and Tuesday.
According to the synoptic situation, a westerly wave is affecting the upper parts of Pakistan. It is likely to prevail during the next 24 hours.
Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most districts and partly cloudy in the upper districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday evening/night, Tuesday and Wednesday.
However, rain-wind/thunderstorms with snowfall over mountains are likely at isolated places in Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Balakot and Manshera on Monday evening/night.
On Tuesday, rain with snowfall over the mountain is likely at isolated places in Chitral, Swat and Kohistan.
Peshawar’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 04-06 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Meanwhile, rains with snowfall over mountains occurred in places of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours.
