DUBAI – Pakistani singing sensation Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was reportedly held at Dubai airport due to complaints filed by his former manager, Salman Ahmed, media reports said.

Amid these reports, singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan denied rumors of his arrest in UAE, advising his followers to ignore such reports.
Rahat said he was in Dubai for a music project, and reports suggested he was detained at the immigration center and questioned by authorities. The ace singer also clarified the situation in an Instagram video, stating, “I came to Dubai to record a song. Malicious reports about my arrest are circulating. Please do not believe them.”
Rahat remained in hot waters amid tensions with his former manager. Salman Ahmed lodged legal cases against Rahat Fateh Ali Khan in Dubai and other cities.

Earlier, Rahat issued apology after a viral video showed him violently attacking his personal employee and it sparked public outrage.
The footage shows Rahat Fateh Ali Khan assaulting his household employee while demanding the location of a ‘bottle.’ The servant pleads for mercy as onlookers fail to intervene, highlighting Rahat’s alleged substance abuse issues.
The singer however downplayed incident as a personal matter between a ‘mentor and pupil’ and introduced the employee, Naveed Hasnain, and his father in a video message to portray their relationship as respectful.
