Quran Khwani for martyrs Maqbool Butt, Afzal Guru held

International Forum for Justice Human Rights Jammu and Kashmir, organized Quran Khwani in Muzaffarabad in connection with the martyrdom anniversaries of Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru. India had sent Muhammad Maqbool Butt to the gallows in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail on February 11 in 1984 and hanged Muhammad Afzal Guru in the same jail on February 09 in 2013 for their role in Kashmir freedom movement.

Their bodies remain buried in the premises of the jail. Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chairman of the International Forum for Justice Human Rights Jammu and Kashmir Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Pasban-e-Hurriyet. Chairman Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Director of Liberation Commission Raja Aslam, Usman Ali Hashim, Mahmood Ahmad Shah, Liaqat Rana, Fayyaz Ahmed and others said that India is a terrorist country and is committing serious violations of human rights in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The speakers paid tribute to the sacrifices of the two martyrs for their leading role in the Kashmir freedom movement and reiterated their determination to continue their struggle till complete success.—INP
