Quaid-e-Azam T20 blind cricket tournament kicks off in Hyderabad

Under the auspices of Hyderabad Cricket Club of Blinds and The Sindh Government, The Quaid E Azam T20 Blind cricket tournament got underway at Niaz Stadium Hyderabad on Thursday evening.

Five matches between the teams from Hyderabad, Karachi, and Multan would be played during the tournament, however, the final would be held on 3rd April Today

The event was inaugurated by the Commissioner of Hyderabad division Muhammad Abbas Baloch who lauded the efforts of Hyderabad Cricket Club of blinds for promoting healthy activities in the city and said that he was delighted to see active participation of visually impaired cricketers in the event who had a bright future ahead. He assured his complete support to promote sports events in the city.

Expressing his profound wish he said that; The days were not far away when the matches of Pakistan Super League and International matches would be held in Hyderabad.

He said that he had urged PCB and other sports organizations to hold international sports events in Hyderabad.

During his welcome address secretary-general, Hyderabad Cricket Club for blinds apprised the commissioner that the final of the event was shifted to Kotri Cricket ground as the administration of Niaz Stadium was not allowing them to hold the final.

On that, the district commissioner directed the administration to make the arrangements for the Final at the Niaz Stadium and provide them all the required facilities.

The Hyderabad Cricket Club of Blinds’ official presented a memorial shield to Commissioner Baloch.

It was hoped that Mr. Imatiaz Ali Shah Secretary Sports would grace the final of the tournament with his presence as chief guest.
