Population Welfare Department (PWD) setup family planning counter at Basic Health Unit (BHU) Chak Chathah for controlling increase of unlimited population. Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad Umer Farooq Warriach inaugurated the counter. DO Population Madam Sajida Mushtaq and other officers were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, DC said that rapidly increasing population was major cause of social and economic problems of the country while establishment of population counters in government hospital was laudable steps of the population department and staff of these counters were providing useful advises to people for overcome increasing population.
Meanwhile, DC was visited different areas of city Hafizabad to check standard of cleanliness and express his satisfaction over performance of sanitary workers. Meanwhile District leader Children Advocacy Network Madam Sajida Faryad, Secretary Information Sangat Development foundation Syed Ghulam Abbas Sharazi and Coordinator Dr. Nazar Hussain Khokhar have stressed the need of implantation on protection of children laws for containing child labour, smuggling of children, exploitation and child abuse.
They said that Provincial Child Labour Committee also be functionalised so that this committee could make legal and other arrangements for curbing child labour effectively.
