Punjab reports 131 new dengue cases during last 24 hours

Punjab is grappling with a worrisome surge in dengue cases, with a sharp rise of 131 new cases reported. According to the health department, as many as 4,184 confirmed dengue cases were reported across 36 districts in Punjab this year. Lahore reported 1,696 cases, Rawalpindi 1,070, Multan 515, Faisalabad 199, and Gujranwala reported 169 cases this year.

During last 24 hours, Lahore reported 55 new dengue cases, Rawalpindi 33, Multan 12, Faisalabad nine, Gujranwala six, and Sheikhupura reported three new dengue cases.

Sialkot and Khanewal each reported two new cases, while Muzaffargarh, Gujrat, Bahawalnagar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sargodha, Jhang, Khushab, Pakpattan, and Jhelum each confirmed one new dengue case.

Currently, 139 dengue patients were receiving treatment in various hospitals across Punjab, with 71 of them in hospitals within the Lahore district.
