Punjab govt issues Eid holidays notification

The Punjab Government has announced Eidul Fitr holidays, Eid holidays will be from May 10 to 15. Employees will get 9 days off including Saturday and Sunday a notification was also issued on Tuesday.

According to details, the Punjab government has issued a notification of holidays on Eid from May 10 to May 15.

Earlier, on the recommendation of the NCOC and with the permission of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the Interior Ministry had issued a notification for the Eid holidays, a Home Ministry spokesman said.

According to the details, lockdown has been extended in Punjab due to Corona virus due to which Eid-ul-Fitr will also be celebrated with simplicity this year.

A notification was also circulating on social media stating that the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays would be from May 13 to 17.

Explaining the notification, the Home Ministry said that the government had not issued any such notification. The notification issued on social media is fake.
