LAHORE – new transfer policy has been introduced for teachers in Punjab, allowing transfers on hardship grounds to be possible throughout the year.
Punjab’s Minister of Education, Rana Sikandar Hayat, has approved the new transfer policy. Under this policy, transfers for disabled, widowed, divorced teachers, and those facing long distances will remain open throughout the year.
According to the decision, the general transfers will be possible twice a year, mutual transfers will be allowed twice a year and inter-district while the wedlock transfers will also remain open throughout the year.
According to the Department of School Education, all types of promotions will be completed within 30 days.
All district committees will be required to ensure decisions on applications within 30 days.
