Punjab CM shares new update for Driving Licence; details inside

LAHORE – Authorities in Punjab announced massive action against those having no driving licenses, and tens of thousands are visiting license centres to apply for the learner permit.

As people are facing stretched long queues at police stations, and license centers, Punjab interim chief minister Mohsin Naqvi addressed people’s plights, taking new steps to streamline cumbersome process.

Amid huge influx of applicants, CM visited Police Khidmat and Tahaffuz Markaz Liberty, and he shared new instructions aimed at advancing the re-driving test period to a maximum of 2 weeks.

He responded to people’s complaints about delays in license renewal and, straightaway ordered actions to resolve these issues at the earliest.

In the wake of a huge crowd at the entrance of Police Khidmat and Tahaffuz Markaz Liberty, the chief minister made changes, allowing applicants to schedule appointments in advance when visiting the service centre.

He further shared plans for the imminent availability of licence and learner application installations on both Android and iPhones.

Naqvi reiterated the caretaker government’s promise to streamline process, assuring people that licence applications could soon be processed seamlessly through the portal.

Furthermore, he directed to install shadows for people and other eases by calling for those waiting outside the Driver’s Licence Office Traffic Police at Liberty Market.

Top officials, including the Punjab IGP, CCPO, and other officers emphasized the government’s collaborative approach towards enhancing public services.
