Punjab bikes scheme 2024: Balloting date is HERE

Punjab bikes scheme 2024 balloting: Degree College and University students from Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi and Lahore are eagerly waiting for the draw of the Punjab government’s motorcycle scheme.

The government received total 72,640 applications – 57,370 for petrol bikes and 15,270 for e- Bikes – till the deadline i.e. May 1, 2024.

Under the scheme 19,000 Petrol motorcycles and 1,000 electric bikes will be distributed among students, who will be selected through balloting. The scheme has a dedicated quota for female students.

Out of 19,000 petrol bikes, 11,676 are for male students and 7,324 are for female students.

Out of 1,000 Electric bikes, 700 have been allocated for male students and 300 for female students.

The financing for electric Bikes under the scheme is limited up to Rs250,000 and that for Petrol Bike is limited up to Rs150,000.

If any student chooses a Bike higher than the above given prices, then upon being declared successful by BOP, he/she shall have to pay the additional cost of the Bike upfront to the BOP. The Punjab Government shall not cover any price higher than what has been mentioned above. The Bike shall have to be selected only from amongst the options available on the web-portal.

Punjab Bikes Scheme 2024 Balloting Date

The balloting shall be carried out electronically under the arrangements of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).

Reports suggest that the balloting would be carried out tomorrow May 10, however, there is no any official announcement in this regard.

The list of winning candidates in the balloting will be updated here as soon as it is shared by the government.
