Maryam directs immediate dispatch of relief goods
The Punjab Cabinet has approved the dispatch of medicines and other supplies to Parachinar residents along with other developmental initiatives.
The 21st meeting of the provincial cabinet was chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister instructed that relief supplies be sent immediately to Parachinar residents.
Maryam Nawaz stated that a mobile health unit would also be sent according to the needs of the Parachinar residents. She emphasised that the people of Parachinar are part of the nation and must not be left alone during hardships and crises.
She noted that the exceptional reception given to the delegation during her visit to China was a source of pride for the people of Punjab. She added that China’s remarkable achievement in transforming its 1.6 billion population into a strength is an inspiring example of progress.
“We, too, can achieve similar success through hard work,” she said, mentioning how clean and organised China’s schools, hospitals, and roads are.
Maryam Nawaz highlighted that the Chinese people’s respect for authority and their unparalleled harmony are qualities worth emulating. She expressed her hope that Punjab continues to develop and prosper like China with each passing day.
Madam Chief Minister said,”Not even a single piece of paper is seen lying in schools, hospitals and on roads of China.” She added,”The attitude of the Chinese people to recognize authority is worthy of imitation.” She underscored,”There is an indescribable degree of harmony in the thoughts of Chinese people.”
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said,”I wish Punjab to develop like China every day.” She added,”Chinese investors are eager to invest in Punjab.”
Madam Chief Minister said,”Representatives of 60 prominent and large Chinese companies expressed their willingness to invest in Punjab. China-Punjab Desk has been approved.”
She added,”Cancer tumors can be eliminated with liquid nitrogen in a machine as big as an ultrasound.” She flagged,”China’s latest technique for cancer treatment eliminates the need for chemotherapy.”
Maryam said,”Soon in a hospital in Punjab, a pilot project of Chinese cancer treatment technique will be started.”
Madam Chief Minister said,”I thoroughly observed agriculture, IT, environment, education, health and other sectors during my visit to China, and will bring them to Punjab as well.”
She underscored,”Under Punjab Clean Air Program, approved with the support of World Bank, multi-sectoral measures including e-bus, charging station and super seeder will be introduced in the province.”
The approved the recruitment of Special Monitoring Unit of I&C on vacant posts, and approved relaxation of restriction for recruitment again posts of Directorate of Monitoring of Home Department. It also gave approval of relaxation in recruitment rules of Rescue 1122 emergency staff.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed to further expand the scope of rescue emergency services.
