ISLAMABAD – Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that the timing of PTI’s call for protests on November 24 is not appropriate as continuous calls for protests diminish their importance.
“Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lacks individuals capable of devising effective strategies ,” said the JUI-F chief while talking to a local private TV on Thursday.
Talking about possible to collaboration with PTI on some issues, he was of the view that it is not feasible to act as both the opposition and the government simultaneously or to create divisions within the opposition itself.
Talking to a local private TV, Fazl commented on Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s dissatisfaction with the government. He said that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is not part of the government, but it does support it.
“Such disagreements are bound to happen in these types of arrangements,” said the JUI-F chief.
He also highlighted that the president has yet to sign the bill concerning madrassas, questioning the reason behind the delay.
He demanded that if there is a valid reason for withholding the signature, it should be brought to their attention.
Fazl added that since no reason is being provided for the delay in signing the bill, it indicates there is no internal challenge to the bill. Instead, it seems the issue may stem from external pressures.
