In a recent development, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been granted conditional permission to hold a workers’ convention in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The district administration issued a declaration, outlining specific guidelines that must be adhered to during the event.

According to media reports, the permission comes with strict conditions, emphasizing the need for compliance with a code of conduct and security guidelines. The responsibility for ensuring security arrangements and adherence to the stipulated conditions rests entirely with the event organizer.

The issued declaration explicitly prohibits the blocking of roads during the workers’ convention. Additionally, it emphasizes that slogans against the state and any form of hate speech targeting groups or political parties will not be tolerated. The organizer is also mandated to provide video footage of the convention to the police.

Failure to comply with the specified conditions could result in the cancellation of the No Objection Certificate (NOC).
