Multan Sultans completed a resounding win over Quetta Gladiators to cause a seismic change in the league table of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8.

The sting of their opening day 1-run loss to Lahore Qalandars in the PSL 8 opener was taken away after their 9-wicket win in their second game which saw them take the lead in the standings from Peshawar Zalmi.

  • Points are awarded to teams based on their results in the league’s matches. In the group stage of the PSL, teams are awarded two points for a win and one point for a no-result or tie.

Islamabad United is the only team yet to play a single game in this year’s competition.

The only two-time winners of the competition will open their account tonight against Karachi Kings at National Bank Cricket Arena.
