Multan Sultans will look to become the third team to book their place in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8 playoffs when they face Islamabad United for a second time this season.

The Sultans have slipped to third in the PSL 8 table after two losses on the trot and they will be hoping to arrest that slide against United who has already reached the next stage of the competition.

Here is all you need to know ahead of what promises to be another entertaining match.

Multan Sultans vs Islamabad United PSL head-to-head:

The Sultans lead this rivalry 7 games to 5 which includes a win in their previous meeting in PSL 8 this year.

When and where will the game take place?

The match will be played at Pindi Cricket Stadium at 7:00 PM (PKT).

Players to watch:

Mohammad Rizwan and Shaan Masood remain crucial for Multan at the top while Rilee Rossouw remains their biggest threat with the bat. The Sultans should also have Tim David back for this game and it will interesting to see how he fares upon his return to Pakistan.

Ihsanullah and Usama Mir remain their strike bowlers while Kieron Pollard remains their biggest X-factor in all three departments.

For United, Alex Hales, Colin Munro, Azam Khan and Faheem Ashraf are in great nicks while their bowling still seems a little suspect with Hasan Ali capable of magic on his day.

Form:

The two teams will meet with diverting fortunes.

United have won 4 of their last 5 matches while the Sultans have dropped 2 games in a row.

Rizwan’s side has a reason for optimism though as they are on 4 game win streak against Islamabad.

Where to watch Multan Sultans vs Islamabad United?

Ten Sports, PTV Sports, and A Sports will broadcast the game live in Pakistan.

Live streaming is available on Daraz AppTapmad TV, and Jazz Tamasha.
