KARACHI – Former Pakistan team captain and Quetta Gladiators all-rounder Shahid Afridi on Tuesday joined his team after he tested negative for Covid-19.
The franchise’s manager Azam Khan said that the star cricketer underwent rapid antigen test (RAT) at the hotel where the remaining players are staying and its report came back negative.
Afridi will now play for the Gladiators in their match against Islamabad United on February 3.
On January 27, the experienced player tested positive for the infection and went into quarantine at home in line with the protocol issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
