Ruling party of Sindh, PPP, is not happy because the federal government has given relief to the poor masses in the federal budget and increased taxes only on luxury imported goods, said Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) vice president and parliamentary party leader Haleem Adil Sheikh here Saturday. Addressing a news conference flanked by opposition leader in Sindh Assembly Firdous Shamim Naqvi, he said that the federal government is people-friendly. He said the PPP is not happy because double-cabin vehicles, imported cigarettes and chocolates are made costlier, and cement, petrol, cooking oil, shoes, houses and other daily use commodities cheaper. He said imported energy drinks are made costlier, because poor masses do not need them. They already have a high energy. He said the salaries are not increased but they should have been increased. He said that due to coronavirus even giving this relief is a big achievement.He said we are a poor country but still giving relief to people. He said the paper for printing Holy Quran is made cheaper but the cigarette paper is made costlier. He said the current account deficit would be decreased to 4.4. He said SICDL is working for development of Sindh but the PPP is not happy because it is installing RO plants in Thar. He said the PPP did mega corruption by installing RO plants in Thar through Omni Group company. He said in fact the real East India Company is the Omni Company of ‘Uncle Sugar”. He said the PPP is criticizing the federal budget without reading it. He said they should remember that they would also present a budget in Sindh and we can reply in the same currency. He said they are not ready to listen my voice because I tell the truth. He said corruption mafia and locusts are harming this country. He said in Sindh doctors are protesting because no facilities are given to them. He said instead of giving budget to government hospitals in Sindh, they gave Rs30 Crore to the Indus Hospital, which is only running 8 ventilators. He asked why this budget was not given to the JPMC and CHK. He said the federal government has given budget of Rs13billion to the hospitals of Sindh and we will run them efficiently and no patient would commit suicide by jumping from any hospital building.
