Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chief Engr Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that the Pakistan People Party has acquired local partners in Karachi to turn the mega city into a Goth, whereas the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) once again sold its mandate in the city against governmental cars and free fuel facilities.
The JI Karachi chief has expressed these views while commenting over a recent development in connection with appointment of the MQM backed Saifur Rehman as administrator Karachi.
He made the comments at a press conference held at Idara Noor-e-Haq, the JI Karachi headquarters, here on Saturday. He elaborated that the PPP maintained its reign in interior areas of the Sindh province with the help of strict feudal system, whereas the party, under influence of the feudal mindset prevailing in it, wants to turn Karachihome to some 30 million individuals and known as economic nerve of the country into a goth to rule over it.
He continued that the PPP was employing nefarious tactics, including governmental powers, state machinery, selected part of bureaucracy and corruption to achieve its goal.Talking about the future course of action, he said that Saifur Rehman has been appointed as a representative of the MQM but he will have to distance itself from the corrupt practices continued by the PPP and the MQM. The will JI cooperate with the new administrator only if he delivers and work for Karachiites, otherwise he will also be exposed, said Engr Naeemur Rehman. He said that the MQM has always played a nefarious role and has once again sold the mandate against a few ministries, cars with green number plates and free fuel facilities.
