Policeman martyred, over dozen injured in blast near Balochistan University in Quetta

QUETTA – At least a police official was martyred and 13 others including security officials injured in a blast near Balochistan University at Quetta’s Saryab Road on Monday, said reports.

The blast took place near a police mobile van, while police and rescue officials have reached the scene.

The nature of the blast is yet to be determined, as the police and counter-terrorism department (CTD) have launched an investigation.

The rescue officials have shifted the injured people to a nearby hospital for treatment. A hospital official said that seven people including six police officials were injured in the blast.
